LOCK HAVEN - Lionel Darryl Jones, 26, of Lock Haven pled guilty to several sex offenses that he committed in early 2020. Jones plead guilty Monday morning before Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller to four felony sex offenses: Sexual Abuse of Children - Photographing/Depicting a Sexual Act on a Computer (F2); Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F2); Sexual Abuse of Children - Possession of Child Pornography (F3); and Corruption of Minors (F3).
Jones was previously convicted of Statutory Sexual Assault and was a Megan's Law Registrant at the time of the 2020 offenses. Police alleged that Jones cultivated a relationship with a 16yo female via the social media application, Snapchat, and claimed to be 19 years old. Despite knowing that the victim was only 16, Jones solicited sexually explicit images from the victim and eventually made plans to meet in person to engage in sexual acts with the victim. Jones reportedly used both his real name and an alias on social media to communicate with the victim.
Jones was ordered to be evaluated by the Pennsylvania Sexual Offender Assessment Board to determine if he should be classified as a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP). Sentencing will be held on September 20th at 8:30 AM at the Clinton County Court House. He faces a maximum sentence of 34 years in prison.
