Pine Creek Township Police Department
NEWS RELEASE: March 7, 2021
1. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: On 3/5/21 at 12:23 PM Police were called to a vehicle accident on Carl Kephart Blvd and the South Route 220 HWY off ramp involving 2 vehicles. The driver of a passenger car failed to stop in time and struck the other vehicle.
2. DOMESTIC: On 3/6/21 the Pine Creek Township Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Big Pine Lane. It was determined the disturbance was verbal. Further investigation revealed the male part who called 911 was wanted by Williamsport City Police. He was detained and transferred to Williamsport Police.
3. TRAFFIC COMPLAINT: Police have received a complaint of vehicles leaving the Steel Mill and traveling in excessive speed on Sixth Avenue during the afternoon hours. Police will be monitoring the area.
4. HARASSMENT: On 3/6/21 at 12:17 PM Police were called to a West Martin Street address in Avis Borough for a report of a male there threatening the caller. It was reported that a minor physical altercation took place and charges of harassment are pending.
5. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 3/7/21 at 2:23 AM Police were called to the 700 block of Prospect Avenue for a report of 4-5 kids knocking on a door and fleeing the area in a dark blue sedan vehicle. The caller advised Police a few minutes later the car came back and one of the kids threw something at his house. Police were in the immediate area at that time and observed the vehicle on Short Street at Woodward Avenue and did a traffic stop on the vehicle with 5 occupants. It was discovered 4 of the passengers were 16 years old and the driver was 18. The driver stated they thought the house was a friends dads house and they were pranking him. The juveniles were released to an adult.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
