Pine Creek Township Police Department

NEWS RELEASE:   March 2, 2021

1. DOMESTIC - On 3- 1-21 at 7:30 PM Pine Creek Township Police responded to a domestic dispute at the Uni Mart on Central Avenue in Avis. The dispute was over a custody agreement and both parties were advised to speak to their attorney handling the agreement.

2.  HIT and RUN – On 3-1-21 at approximately 8:00 PM a Hit and Run accident was reported at the Bald Eagle Truck Stop in McElhattan, Wayne Twp. The offending vehicle is described as a maroon Subaru. Anyone with information or witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Pine Creek Township Police.

3.  SUSPICIOUS PERSON – On 3-1-21 Police were called to Municipal Drive for a suspicious person. The caller stated a male had come to the door asking for scrap metal.  When the caller stated their dogs were coming out the person ran to a vehicle and left the area. Police located the individual and it was determined there was no threat to the public.

Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
