The Pine Creek Township Police Department is again asking businesses and individuals who are willing to register their security cameras to do so using this Camera Registration Form. The goal of the camera registry is to deter crime and promote public safety through collaboration between the police department and the communities we serve. By participating in this voluntary program, you are helping the Pine Creek Township Police Department swiftly locate nearby cameras that may be able to aide with active investigations and most importantly help deter crimes from occurring within your community. Your submissions are kept confidential and only local Law Enforcement agencies can access the information. When needed, the Pine Creek Township Police Department may contact you to obtain a copy of your video recordings that could be relevant to an investigation. At no time will law enforcement have access to a live feed or your secured video. An example of how this camera registration could be helpful is if a resident or several residents reported theft from their property or vehicle. The department could review the registration list and see which residents in the area have a camera and officers could make contact with the owner and provide a date and time to review if any recordings exist that may assist in the investigation. Cameras have been useful during incidents of missing person reports and possible sightings. If a list is quickly available to officers to know who to speak to it saves valuable time of the officer going around looking for cameras that may have useful footage. This form is also for a business that may have cameras at multiple locations within the business. If you live or own a business in Pine Creek Township, Wayne Township, Dunnstable Township or Avis Borough we invite you to fill out the online form to register your camera with the department.
