FARMING ACCIDENT

On 04/05/23 at 4:33pm Emergency Services responded to the 700 Block of East End Mountain Road in Lamar Township, While on location it was discovered that an 18 month old child had been ran over by a loaded grain wagon, despite all the efforts of Emergency Service Personnel the child succumbed to the injuries sustained.  The investigation revealed the Childs family member was backing up a loaded feed wagon using a skidloader to push the wagon backward, the machine operator didnt see child  behind the rear wheel of the wagon resulting in the child being struck. The incident was deemed accidental.

ARREST

PRESTON LEE BIERLY of Lamar was taken into custody on 04/7/23 at 0104am based on a warrant on charges of Felony count of  Aggravated Assault by vehicle, and summary offenses stemming from a crash that occurred on Fairground Road on 08/12/22 at 8:41hrs. The investigation revealed that BIERLY was operating a 2007 Jeep Wrangler when he crossed over the center line striking a male on a non motorized scooter in the opposite lane causing serious bodily injury, the victim was Flown to a trauma center treatment.
