News Release
October 5, 2022
Incidents:
1. Crash – On 09-25-22 at 6:16 PM, a crash occurred at E Main St and N Grove St. A vehicle traveling west on E Main St was struck by a vehicle that turned left onto E Main St and entered the right lane to avoid a truck. Both drivers claimed they had a green light.
2. Crash - On 09-23-22 at 9:55 AM, a crash occurred at N Jay St and E Church St. A vehicle traveling east on E Church St ran a red light and struck a vehicle traveling south on N Jay St. One minor injury was reported. The driver of the striking vehicle was cited for Traffic Control Signals.
Offenses Charged:
1. A 17 female juvenile is being cited with Disorderly Conduct. The juvenile was hanging out the window of a car yelling and cursing at people. The driver of the vehicle was also cited with Unauthorized Persons and Devices Hanging on Vehicles.
2. Kyle Coury, 26, Altoona, is being charged with Theft. On 09-26-22, Coury stole money from a donation box located at 2 Piper Way.
3. Bobbie Jo Mincer, 36, Lock Haven, and Cory Brooks, 29, Unknown Address, have been charged with Retail Theft. On 09-26-22, Mincer and Brooks, stole items from Weis Markets by not ringing items through self-checkout.
4. On 09-15-22, a group a females assaulted a 25-year-old female in the area of W Walnut St and Grouse Alley. The following people are being charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct as a result of the incident:
- Juanita Bechtol, 51, Renovo
- 17-year-old female, Lock Haven
