News Release

August 1, 2022

Incidents:

1.  Crash – On 07-29-22 at 7:15 AM, a crash occurred at E Main St and Vesper St.  A vehicle traveling west on E Main St was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Vesper St.  Both drivers claimed they had a green light. 

2.  Crash – On 07-30-22 at 12:22 PM, a crash occurred at E Water St and N Jay St.  A vehicle traveling north on N Jay St was struck by a vehicle traveling east on E Water St.  The vehicle on E Water St did not stop prior to entering the intersection due to the driver having a medical emergency. 

3.  Criminal Mischief – On 07-31-22, it was reported that a parking meter was damaged on N Vesper St.

Offenses Charged:

1.  Nathan Bilbay, 20, Avis has been charged with a PFA Violation.  On 07-07-22, Bilbay violated the PFA by having contact with the plaintiff.  An arrest warrant was obtained the same day.  On 07-26-22, the arrest warrant was served on Bilbay.
